The Story of Treasure Beach Inn
Treasure Beach Inn is more than a place to stay—it’s a labor of love rooted in family, resilience, and the spirit of Jamaica. For generations, this property has been a place where memories are made, from childhood adventures under the shade of old trees to sunsets shared on the beach just steps away. After enduring the challenges of major hurricanes, the inn was thoughtfully rebuilt and reimagined, preserving its history while creating a welcoming retreat for future generations.
Today, Treasure Beach Inn offers guests the opportunity to experience the authentic charm of Treasure Beach through the eyes of a family that has cherished this special place for decades. Whether you're gathering with loved ones, exploring the coastline, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, we invite you to become part of our story and create memories of your own.

Ernie's Story
At the heart of Treasure Beach Inn is owner Ernie Muirhead, whose lifelong connection to Treasure Beach has shaped the inn into the special destination it is today. Although Ernie owns and operates a successful security business in the United States, Treasure Beach has always held a special place in his heart. Having spent much of his childhood here, he developed a deep appreciation for the community, culture, and natural beauty of Jamaica's south coast.
When Ernie took over operations of the inn in 2019, he set out to thoughtfully renovate and revitalize the property while preserving its authentic charm. Following the challenges of two major hurricanes, Treasure Beach Inn was rebuilt with resilience and care, emerging stronger than ever. Today, the inn stands as a welcoming retreat where families, couples, and travelers can experience the warmth, tranquility, and rich heritage that make Treasure Beach such a beloved destination.
